WAS THE MAIN ATTRACTION OF THE FESTIVAL OF SLAVONIC
CULTURE ‘ROYAL CORONATION’, HELD IN GNIEZNO IN JULY 2017.
The spectacle illustrated the key moments from the life of the city of Gniezno
- the first capital of Poland, which was at that time the main centre of power
and governance, the residence of archbishops and bishops and the place
of the royal coronations of Bolesław Chrobry, Mieszko II, Bolesław Śmiały,
Przemysław II and Waclaw II.
The citizens of Gniezno as well as many visitors from all parts of Poland
admired this special interpretation of the events contributing to the historic
and cultural heritage of the City and Poland.
Thanks to this impressive animation highlighted by remarkable music
compositions, we could follow the parade of Polish kings and archbishops
of historical significance.
The 3D Mapping Show, exploring the history of Gniezno, commemorated
the 1020th anniversary of St. Wojciech’s death and the 600th anniversary
of archbishops in Poland.
The spectacle was displayed on the façade of Primates’ Basilica in Gniezno,
one of the most important monuments of Gniezno.
The event was held under the patronage of Wojciech Polak, the Primate of Poland.
