3D VIDEO MAPPING
FULL VERSION
‘History of Gniezno - first capital city of Poland’ is our next recurrent animation in 3D Video Projection Mapping technology.
Since 2017, this performance has been one of the main attractions of the Festival of Slavonic Culture ‘Royal Coronation’.
Last year we recalled the oldest threads from the historical tapestry of Gniezno and the Polish state: the mission and martyrdom of St. Wojciech,
the patron of Poland, on the 1020th anniversary of his death, coronations of five Polish kings - Bolesław Chrobry, Mieszko II, Bolesław Śmiały,
Przemysl II and Wacław II and the 600th anniversary of the residence of archbishops in Gniezno.
This year the show was enriched by the history of Piast dynasty princes and queens: Dobrawa, Oda Dytrykówna, Emnilda, Rycheza Lotaryńska,
The Blessed Jolenta and Jadwiga Bolesławówna. The spectacle also revealed the medieval Gniezno with its colourful and bustling marketplace,
full of merchants and artisans.
Both performances attracted a crowd of spectators, clearly enthralled with the innovative way of showing important myths and characters
that made up the history of the city and the state. The people of Gniezno and visitors from all over the country admired lively animations enriched
by performances of actors, lights and music composed especially for the event.
The spectacle ‘History of Gniezno - first capital city of Poland’ was presented in the most prestigious place: on the facade of the Primate\'s Basilica,
which is the most important architectural monument of Gniezno.
The event was held under the patronage of Wojciech Polak, the Primate of Poland.
